Photo of the Red Desert. The April Desert of the Month is Wyoming's Red Desert. The Red Desert is located in the South-Central portion of the state and occupies more than 9,000 square miles. The Red Desert was formed by a division along the Continental Divide and is the largest living dune system in the United States.

After visiting the heat of the desert, it's only natural that you'd want some ice cream, so celebrate the Red Desert by joining your Jaycee friends for dessert at Marble Slab in the Kentlands (510 Main Street) on April 1st at 7:00. And because that's also April Fools Day (a very important holiday in its own right), Jaycee members in attendance who wear a funny hat will be eligible to win a suitably foolish prize.

Update: It appears there may have been a typo at some point. This event is, of course, the Dessert of the Month. But do be sure to wear a silly hat.
